Sunny Container Sales Logo Design
For Sunny Container Sales — the shipping-container sales arm of Australian logistics company SEQH — we developed a complete visual identity built around a true story. Sunny is a real one-eyed giraffe that SEQH transported from Australia in a custom-built container, and the name itself ties her character to Queensland’s nickname, the “Sunshine State”. The client wanted a brand that felt warmer and more approachable than the parent company, led by a mascot, yet still recognisable as part of the same family. For that reason we deliberately moved away from SEQH’s bold red-and-yellow palette and grounded the identity in a calmer mix of charcoal, sunny yellow and white.
Across several rounds with the client the mascot took its final shape — a friendly giraffe wearing a cap and holding a clipboard, with a subtle wink that quietly nods to Sunny’s single eye, but without any direct reference to a zoo, which mattered to the client since this is a serious commercial business. We matched the wordmark to the mascot’s palette so the whole logo reads as one cohesive composition rather than a mascot next to neutral type. The result is a warm, distinctive and characterful mark that instantly tells the brand’s story and clearly stands apart from the parent company, while still remaining its unmistakable sibling.
