Widgnest — A Widget App for Your Android Home Screen
We are proud to introduce Widgnest, an Android application we conceived, designed and developed entirely in-house. Widgnest lets people turn their home screen into something that looks exactly the way they want it to: a collection of more than eighty widgets that bring together useful information and a carefully crafted visual identity. Our goal was to build a product where every detail, from typography to motion, feels considered and complete.
At the heart of Widgnest are five designer themes — Glass, Neon, Material, Dark Luxe and Minimal — each with its own character and mood. Rather than imposing a single look, the app invites people to choose the atmosphere that suits their device and taste, and then to fine-tune every widget by adjusting its size, colours and layout until it blends seamlessly with the wallpaper behind it. That degree of freedom was the central design challenge, because each widget had to look flawless across all five themes and at every size.
Widgnest covers a wide range of everyday needs. It offers clocks and world times, weather forecasts, tools for tracking money and subscriptions, counters for life's milestones and daily habits, calm and focus companions, and a series of playful widgets that give the home screen a personality of its own. Everything is designed so that information reads clearly at a glance, while the aesthetics never come at the expense of usefulness.
The app is available on the Google Play Store, with a free version and a Pro upgrade that unlocks the full collection. For us, Widgnest is a project where design, development and attention to detail come together into one cohesive product — from the first sketch to a published application.
