Gavin Garrison, a U.S. producer, asked me to design his signature. After completing the signature design, he was immediately required to do branding for 34 North Productions.
The name is related to the 34th parallel, where there are the other 3 branches in various parts of the world. The client was looking for a brand that is modern and it is not tied to the image of the compass or the sails.

Gavin Garrison has produced two seasons of the Emmy-nominated reality show “Whale Wars”; he recently produced “Whale Wars: A Commander Rises” (2013), and three one-hour specials under the Whale Wars banner: “The Devil’s Den, “Fight to the Death,” and “The Darkest Hour” (2015). In 2013 Gavin filmed the sports series “Nock Out” for NBC, and has a rich history with network and studio production, including work for Warner Brothers on the hit television show “The OC,” and on shows “Mad Men” and “The Middle.”
