Tisch Fishing Game — featured on Dalmatinski portal

Good news from Split: on 8 October 2026 the Croatian news site Dalmatinski portal published a story about our game Tisch Fishing Game: Europe. The headline sums it up: “He caught a fish of almost 18 kilograms at Marjan without even leaving the house”.

What the article covers

The story starts with one catch. Player Data0812 landed a leerfish of almost 18 kg at Marjan in Split. The biggest catch in the game so far belongs to player Glatki: a 24.83 kg swordfish caught at Danče in Dubrovnik.

  • Real places: 40 fishing spots in seven European countries. In Split, those are Lukobran and Marjan.
  • Real conditions: live weather, sea, tide and sun for every spot, so when the bora blows in Split, it blows in the game too.
  • 76 fish species; which fish bites depends on bait, depth and time of day, using the same rules as our Tisch Fishing app.
  • Records and leaderboards: every species record is public, and other players can beat it.
  • More than 150 players joined in the first ten days or so.

What happened after the story

The effect was immediate. On the day of publication almost 40 new players joined, most of them from Split and the surrounding area, bringing the total to nearly 200. Radio Ultra Split also got in touch and is preparing a radio feature about the game.

About the game

Tisch Fishing Game is a free shore-fishing game: cast, wait for a bite and fight the fish without snapping the line. At Designer2 we built it from idea to launch, covering design, iOS and Android development, and publishing in the stores. Read more about the project in our portfolio post.
